Olio Festival 2012 - 'Alone up there' 2012

OUT OF THE LOOP Chronicles
My Point of Preview: a Preview from my Point of View

Several weeks ago I worked as a production assistant on a movie of the week titled 'World on Fire'. It was a fun shoot that involved many takes of sweeping up fake ash and soot shot under the hot Abbotsford sun. It was on the shoot that I met a friend who will simply be known as ED. I first met Ed when I him picked up from the Braid Skytrain station as we carpooled from Vancouver to Abbotsford. Interesting fellow who, like me, dreamed of being more then a PA on a MOW. He mentioned a documentary he was producing. From what I heard it sounded like a very funny film, intentionally too since the feature doc revolves around the modern life and history of being a comedian.

That was the last I thought about it until just recently.

Then I got back into contact with Ed. At first, I just wanted to get drinks and catch up. After we shared a back and forth text messages he informed me his feature documentary was going to premiere at the Rio on Thursday night September 19 at 10.

That was all I got.

Luckily google saved my day.

Not only did I get a full description on when, where and what I would be watching but I also discovered that the documentary was in the Olio Festival which celebrate Vancouver-made art and music. What is the film called your ask? 'ALONE UP THERE', not to be confused with a horror or drama this film looks quite entertaining.
